Overview

Phil Source is one half of Source Direct and helped shape the sound of drum & bass. He has run Vampire Records for years, and the label carries real heritage in the scene. What it had stopped doing was working on the platforms where people find music in 2025. We spent two months rebuilding the identity, the website and the event collateral.

Challenge

The old logo suited vinyl sleeves and flyers. It carried detail that turned to mush at Instagram avatar size or in a site thumbnail. The website had stopped functioning, leaving a label that runs events and releases with no working front door.

Anyone who already knew Vampire Records needed no convincing. Promoters and new listeners were judging the label on what they could see online, and what they saw undersold decades of work. Phil wanted the brand brought up to date without losing what made the label worth reviving in the first place.

Outcome

Phil has run five events since the relaunch, each one built from a collateral system he can reuse without starting over. He has collaborations lined up with major names in the scene. The identity holds at poster size and shrinks to an avatar without falling apart.

"Quick turnarounds, high-quality designs, genuinely understands brand vision. We've successfully run 5 events since the rebrand and lined up collaborations with major industry leaders."
