Memorabilia Framers
Memorabilia Framers is a local business that does two things: custom framing for collectors and selling framed memorabilia through an online store. Sports, music, film. The kind of pieces people spend real money on. The problem was that both websites, the e-commerce store and the portfolio site for custom framing, were actively working against the business. Slow, poorly designed, and failing to convert the traffic they were getting into sales or enquiries.
Overview
Memorabilia Framers is a four-person business that frames collectors' pieces to order and sells framed sports, music and film memorabilia online. Both sides of the business ran through a website, and both websites were costing the business customers. We rebuilt the two sites and the print collateral inside a month.
Challenge
The store sold items that run into the hundreds of pounds, over a site that loaded slowly and made buying harder than it needed to be. Someone browsing a signed shirt at that price has a dozen alternatives one click away, and nobody at the business could see who left.
The portfolio site failed at something harder to measure. Custom framing means a customer hands over a rare piece of vinyl or a signed shirt and waits. They want to see a business that can be trusted with it before they part with anything, and a slow, dated site plants the opposite thought.
The print work had the same gap. A lot of the business comes face to face and by word of mouth, so the cards and brochure reach a customer's hands well before the website does. Neither matched the standard of the framing.
Outcome
The business takes more custom framing enquiries than it did, and the store converts a higher share of the same traffic it was already paying to attract. The two sites and the print material now say the same thing, whether a customer arrives through Google or picks up a card at an event.
"People are trusting us with valuable pieces, so the website needs to reflect that. The new sites do exactly that. We're getting more custom framing enquiries and the online store is converting much better than before."
